Butt welding End valves means the valves have butt welding ends to connect with other piping components. Butt welding method is one of most popular connection way. The valve end and the pipe end are of equal diameters. The outer edge of each is chamfered to create a “valley” to be filled with welding material. The two pieces are welded around the rims. Butt weld connections are usually used for 2” pipes and above, because the small diameter pipes may be destroyed in welding.
They are used on steel valves, and as they have greater strength, they are perfect to be used for such applications that require higher pressure and/or temperature in pipelines. Also, these are ideal for all types of valves, and for use in those areas where repeated dismantling is not required.
Note: These welds should be performed by trained workers.
