The welded body valve means a valve which body is joint by welding. Comparing to the valve have a single piece body or split bodyin pieces, the welded body valve has no bolted bonnet or body joints that can ensure no potential body joint leak  and lower overall sizes.

The typical welded body valve is the full welded ball valve, welding processes on the valve body should be qualified and performed according to ASME Section IX. The welding for the valve body is to performed with Non-destructive tests. Because the valve body is welded, it is difficult to disassembled, this valve is particularly suitable for long distance pipeline and buried installation
